December 2012 Ipsy ( Originally MyGlam )

Hey Ladies and Gents,

I am back I have been crazy busy with work and my angel and I both being sick. Her with the flu and me with a stomach virus. But I finally got my Ipsy Bag and lets just say... I love the contents though I hate the makeup bag! So in this bag we received 5 products. Mirabella face & eye primer, Urban Decay eye pencil, Mai Couture highlighter paper, NYX loose pearl shadow and last but not least the Be a bombshell lipgloss in Hot mess. This bag's items total $93!!! I got it for 10 bucks.. Scoreeeeee lol

Soooo Let's begin =]

Urban Decay's 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in the color Zero:

This eye pencil was soft enough to glide right on but the staying power of 24/7 are not true in what I experienced. I wore it on both of my eyes: One with primer and the other without and the one without smudged and gave me a bit of raccoon eyes, while the other eye faded a bit and that's paired with Urban Decay's Primer Potion. It was dark but it wasn't a true black.

Retail Value: $19

Mai Couture Highlighting Paper:

I am in love with this highlighting paper. You get 25 sheets and in the back of it it shows you where are the best spots to highlight on both face and body. I found this idea to be innovative cause I honestly hate loose powder highlighters cause unless you have a light hand you look like someones disco ball. This is build-able and great on the skin.

Retail Value: $28

Mirabella's Face and Eye Primer:

This light weight primer is for both eyes and face. I loved how it didn't feel like i had something on my face while putting something on my face if that makes sense lol ... I enjoyed the light weight feel of this primer and the staying power as well it lasted all day.

Retail Value: $29

NYX Loose Pearl Shadow:

This loose shadow had minimal fall out. I love how NYX has up their products. I was expecting a chalky mess but I found this to be easy and build-able as well. Affordable makeup with great color pay-off. Who said you had to buy high priced items to look chic?

Retail Value: $3

Be A Bombshell Lipgloss in Hot Mess:

I freaking LOVE this color. I love bold lips and this red was giving me life. I didn't like how sticky it was but other then that I love everything about it.

Retail Value: $14

Ipsy ( November Glam Bag )

Some pictures will be added soon sorry!!!

I am bacccckkkk!!! lol sorry for being gone for so long but, I just got my package today and let's just say I am intrigued by the products in here. Some of my go-to brands are in here.In this bag we had a blind item which was the fifth item, you either got the bareMinerals They're Real beyond mascara or the Chella Eyebrow Defining Gel. And of course with this bag you get offer codes to use to get percentages taken off from their individual sites ( perks for just 10 dollars a month!!! ) A $65.75 value for just $10 again I can't beat that. I prefer getting samples or the regular sized items before I go out and shell out 65 bucks on anything..   So let's dive straight into the products at hand shall we =]

Nailtini Nail polish: Millionaire, Meet Matt(e) Eyeshadow by theBalm: Matt Batali, bareMinerals Marvelous Moxie Lipgloss: DareDevil, Starlet Cosmetics Intense Eyeliner: Black, Chella Eyebrow Defining Gel

Nailtini Nail Polish in Millionaire:

This is my first time hearing of this brand and I am pleasantly surprised and glad that Ipsy is giving me a new outlook on makeup that I would either not look at or pick up because I don't know or hear much of people trusting it. I enjoy the cute twist on the bottle it is quoted to say " Wear Nailtini lacquers alone, layered or garnished to create countless combinations. Great straight or mixed- it's cocktails for nails." As a semi-sometimes-maybe bartender I enjoyed the innuendo and the play on words, it was cute, well delivered and very much so something to keep my attention. Now to the nail polish itself. Millionaire makes you feel exactly as it is written- LIKE A MILLIONAIRE. The gold glitters are bold yet subtle enough for my work environment. It wasn't hard to take off neither with nail polish remover. I didn't find it to come off as some other glitters have in the past. I found it to be very build-able if you wanted intensity. This is just my first impression lets see how long it lasts and if I will be singing a new tune in a few days lol

We got the actual sized bottle which retails for $13 on tinibeauty.com

bareMinerals Marvelous Moxie Lipgloss in DareDevil:
We got the sample size and I am glad they didn't waste their money on getting me a bigger one =/ I am not fond of sticky lipglosses. I just don't like the feel of honey on my lips cause that's what it feels like to me.. honey. I love the smell though, it reminds me of how Mac lipsticks smell YUM!!! It is long lasting as long as you don't eat much cause of the fact it is so sticky that it transfers to other items. I loved the packaging and the color is devine but it's just too sticky for me. It's supposed to be very good for your lips without the uses of parabens sulfates synthetic fragrances synthetic dyes petrochemicals phthalates GMOs and triclosan. It is great for your lips and it's supposed to hydrate and bring back life to other wise dull and dried out lips.. It has a good thought process behind it.. I just wont be purchasing the full size.

bareMinerals Marvelous Moxie Lipgloss retails for $18

Meet Matt(e) Eyeshadow in Matt Batali:

I found this to be a bit chalky but seeing as the first ingredient is talc, what do you really expect lol. I enjoyed the pigmentation as well as ease of application from my finger to the back of my hand. I found that with a good primer the colors pop way more then expected which for me is great. I know their were some complaints of fall out and that it wasn't as pigmented as they were expecting. I use this color in my crease and really had no issue of creasing after long period of time neither. I found the rich dark matte brown really worked well with my smokey eyes when I want to get away from the traditional black. All in all I loved this eyeshadow and haven't found an issue as of yet lol but I have used their products before and I haven't been disappointed yet.

They don't sell the color individually so the palette is about 34.50 so let's say for 1/6th of the product the price would be 5.75 ( math class came in handy lol )

Starlet Cosmetics Intense Eyeliner in Black:

I loved how this just glided on!!! It was like BUTTA! I loved it I liked the richness to it's texture, the true color pay off of the black. I found it to be a very great eyeliner and I wear contacts and I didn't get a film across my lens atleast not yet. It's talc free which is why it doesn't smudge or fade like other liners have a tendency to. I found the formula to be nowhere near drying and the packaging again was too cute for words.. wait I'm typing words... lol you get the point. I just enjoyed how it glided on so smoothly and after sharpening it even with a semi sharp edge I didn't feel like I was poking myself, literally went on smooth like Butta!

We got the full size and it retails for $11.

Chella Eyebrow Defining Gel in Clear:

I can live without the smell. I do not always do my brows and I don't really care to but I played around with it today and it laid my brows down and lord knows it's about that time to go get them done. I can't really say much or anything else on it though or compare it to anything else... it wasn't phenomenal in my opinion.

They have multiple shades: Awesome Auburn, Beautiful Blonde, Dazzling Dark Brown, Luscious Brown Color

This item retails for $18.

Ipsy ( Originally MyGlam ) October Bag

So this is my first month of Ipsy formerly known as MyGlam and lets just say I am pleasantly pleased for 10 dollars a month =] .. In this bag were 5 items that are on the verge of being used up seeing as I only wanted to use these this month. All together this bag's consisted of $73.08 all for $10. Wonderful deal =]

Packaging: The packaging that it came in was cute. then the little striped makeup bag and the red zipper accent was classic and well made.

Content: Pequi Oil Treatment, The Body Builder Mascara by theBalm, Onyx Eyeliner by Be a Bombshell Cosmetics, 4 small eyeshadows from Coastal Scents, && Lip Bomb by Mirenesse

Let me first tell you about Ipsy and what it entails. Basically it is your typical monthly subscription for 5 random items that are supposed to be tailored to you. You take a short quiz about fashion and beauty and your skin type as well as complexion so that your colors match you. It is 10 dollars as I stated before and you get the ability to opt out in the beginning of the month if need me. Every month it changes and gives you a range of ability to try decent sized samples as well as try out new products without the commitment of purchasing from a company you know nothing of.

Pequi Oil Treatment:

This oil is said to restore shine and softness to your hair. I used it and it was just like any other oil I didn't really feel a major difference to go out and buy myself a whole new bottle. They gave us the 12 dollar bottle.

Retail Price 12.00- 50.00

The Body Builder Mascara by theBalm:

This mascara was pretty decent. It was like any other mascara except that it clumped. I have pretty long lashes and they were all clumped up no matter how hard I tried to separate them. I found the formula to be a little too thick though I know it's supposed to give body. The wand was constructed like a wave like patter it didn't have the traditional shape all the way through, it's as if they just twisted it.

Retail Price: $19

Onyx Eyeliner by Be a Bombshell:

I am in love with this eyeliner. I found the eyeliner to be a true black. I liked the size of it for a cat eye. It is a felt tip liner and though I have a love/hate relationship with them I found this one not drying or dragged across the lid in like a tug of war matter.

Retail Price: $14

Coastal Scents:

They gave us sample size of 4 shades. One matte true purple shade one shimmer true purple shade a white shade and a purply pink. I found it a tad bit hard to blend but I found the pigmentation to be decent. Coastal Scents has them for different prices for their pallets.

Retail Price: Varies

Lip Bomb by Mirenese:

Full name is Lip Bomb Glossy Lacquer Stain. I never used to be a fan of lip stains because I have big lips and didn't know if I would want to walk around with this color on my lips for the rest of my life lol.. But I have to say the lasting power as well as the applicator brush and it's glossy yet minimal transfer had me stuck on stupid.. I would love to say I will repurchase but I don't know if I want to pay as much..

Retail Price: 28.08- 35.10
