The 2017 Hyundai Elantra Limited Review

Hey loves!

I wanted to thank everyone who has been following my car series and wanted to extend an apology. I am moving soon and won't be able to review cars for a long while. The good thing is the location I am moving to has a garage so when I decide to review them again, I have a place to put it, without fear of tickets or waking up early to avoid those pesky things.

So now onto the review!

Driving:

This vehicles driving ability was everything for me. I didn't like the fact I felt every dip and curve of the road. I did love the fact that it was easy to maneuver through traffic and all its craziness during this NYFW and bike tours! ( that's a whole other post ). I drove to my first meet and greet and should have just left the car at home, that's how much traffic and aggravation there was for me.

Navigation: 10/10
Apple Car Play: 0
I LOVE THE NAVIGATION! I found this navigation to be the best out of all the cars I reviewed in my life. It was easy and to the point. Only thing is make sure you pay even more attention to your surroundings because some roads don't have it in the system that here has been changes to road signs. Almost went down a newly paved dead end. This wasn't the navigations fault so I can't take points.
Apple car play was not cooperative and was very annoying to try and fix.

Style:

I love the design of the vehicle. It wasn't too much of an eyespot in my opinion. Doesn't look like a race car but if that's what you were looking for, look else where.

Interior:

My daughter loved the back seat and felt the air when the air condition was on. I think the passenger seat should be powered like the drivers side instead of manual. I thought that was a bit off. It was a leather interior and you can't go wrong with leather.

Overall:

Overall I loved this vehicle and felt it was a great ride. I had originally given the car an 8 out of 10 when I spoke with the representative and would like to give it a 9.5 instead because the way I felt the dips and curves and even the steering wheel were bothersome for me.

What are your thoughts on this vehicle?

2016 Mazda3 Week Review

Hey my lovely people!

As you all know, I'm in the market for a car to take me around and drive me to these makeup and hair events I seem to always frequent. Well thanks to Mazda, I got to test out the Mazda3! I never drove a Mazda before, let alone the second version! But if this third installment is anything better than the predisesors then I am grateful! As you guys know my external hard drive with all of my stuff are gone so bare with me with these stock footages!

Drive for Good

This year I asked God to help me just give back even more than I have in my life. First it was giveaways and then I reviewed the 2016 Mazda3 and this made me so happy. Mazda has a program where they committed to making a change by donating to its customers and communities. Now I'm not being paid to post this but this made me so happy. So basically how it works is; I got to get a card in which I could send money to any Charity of my choice and of course I chose 🇭🇹 Hope for Haiti 🇭🇹✊🏾. It was simple all I had to do was go on the website and submit the info. That's dope. I still got some giveaways for you guys. 💋

Driving

Now when I say this bad boy was comfortable.. I mean comfortable! I found myself driving with ease and very air like. I have driven this car through Manhattan, Queens, and Brooklyn and all I can say is I loved it! I found that the turns were smoother and when I hit a pot hole, you knew I would hit one or twelve while driving, I barely felt it. I am tall and found the car to be a bit small for me but not something that was unbearable. I more so cared about my big curly hair and not the actual size. My family fit in this car very comfortably and everyone gave me nothing but compliments. The gas on this car!!!!! Man oh man! I didn't even get to half a tank and I drove everywhere and charged my phone and used the navigation and everything! I also used the heat and the air conditioning ( if you know NYC you know the weather changes every second of everyday )We will get to the navigation in a few. All in all it was a very smooth ride and I didn't want to part from the car.

Cons

The only con for me was trying to understand the navigation and syncing my device to the radio. That was the most frustrating part of it all. I ended up just using my iPhone for navigation and it wouldn't play through the speakers till closer to the end of my drive with the car. I was annoyed with that and it would sync then unsync. All in all that was one of my pet peeves. The navigation wouldn't speak to me! I couldn't get it to talk for the life of me and that was frustrating as all heck.

Conclusion

As long as I have been reviewing cars... I think this is the first time I didnt want to part. I actually liked this car. It had great gas mileage and I was able to pretty much drive everywhere with ease. Everyone who was with me or saw or was in it liked it too. This is unbiased as usual. I only wish it was a hint bigger. I'm tall and my buns don't fit under the roof. All in all I liked it. Kalea loved it too. Will have an in depth review on my blog. Thank you Mazda and Driveshop #drivemazda 💋

2016 Hyundai Tucson NYC Drive

Hey Love Bugs!!!

How are you guys doing? I know, I know long time no see! I am back with a vengeance though! So if you are subscribed to my Youtube channel you would have already known. I got the chance to drive around New York for Hyundai's recently redesigned midsize crossover vehicle, the 2016 Tucson.

Now you all know I am not going to give you all of the car guy talk ( no offense but it goes over my head). This was the first time journalists had the chance to test drive the vehicle before the model hit dealer showrooms this month.

According to some sources, crossovers are one of the top-selling vehicles. Hyundai has re-invented the popular segment by adding industry first features into the Tucson.

Here is the itinerary of what was in the email.
Drive details:
We will start downtown in Manhattan’s fantastic Chelsea neighborhood with a product presentation on the all-new vehicle, followed by a scenic drive up the Palisades Interstate Parkway, a jaunt through Harriman State Park, and a return trip down to NYC for lunch.

Some highlights from our event will include:
·         Presentation and interview opportunities with Hyundai executives
·         Opportunities for B-roll footage with NYC landmarks as the backdrop
·         Opportunity to drive the all-new Tucson

Now on to my review!

I personally liked how quiet this vehicle was! I could hear if someone honked but not the noises that normally come with driving in NYC. I liked the size of this vehicle as well. As a mother I would like to say the fact the trunk opens without needing to dig in my pocket is a great addition to the vehicle. I think they had us moms in mind when they thought of this! Well actually for anyone who doesn't want to put things down to pick it up again. I also liked the fact the crossover maneuvered in traffic with ease. I never felt like we were gonna hit someone or something and it went around corners in a wonderful way. It was also comfortable in the back. I also loved the amount of control on the steering wheel for music and navigation and also volumes.

Cons would have to be the censors! I love that they keep us safe but unfortunately if you give someone space in front of you and someone is on your ass, it will keep going. It is very sensitive and lasts a bit longer than I prefer as well.

All in all I liked this vehicle. Would I recommend it? Depends on what you are looking for but ultimately I say yes!

If you want specs on where to get this and more of milage and gas then check this link out! The All New 2016 Tucson

Love you guys!! Let me know what specific information you would like for me to cover in my next car review!!!

Mitsubishi Mirage 2015 in Plasma Purple

Hey Love Bugs,

First let me say thank you to Mitsubishi and Drive STI for the opportunity! This was an amazing experience and honestly I enjoyed their level of professionalism. In this review I won't only give you stats but I will talk about how it went on these New York streets. If you want a full blown review as far as the car enthusiast side, I won't be able to provide that. If you are a mom who is on the go and are looking for something then continue reading.

This vehicle was very small and honestly when I saw it I was taken aback. I didn't think it would seat me, let alone my family. I am 5 feet 8 inches and a full figured woman and this didn't cause a single problem for me. I sat comfortably behind the wheel and was able to maneuver very well through streets. It is very smooth of a ride and I enjoyed it thoroughly. My daughter who is 8 loved it as well. She sat in the back and was just smiling and enjoying herself greatly. She told me she felt safe in the car, not only cause of her moms impeccable driving skills ( lol ). So far there's nothing but pro's? Well honestly its cause I liked the car. ( I will get into the cons a little further down) It was easy to drive and even in these crazy unpredictable streets of Brooklyn ( if you have ever been to Brooklyn you would know why I keep bringing emphasis to this). I found it easy to avoid collisions from other bigger cars and even buses who didn't stay in their lanes. I didn't feel intimidated nor afraid of the power on this car. I also drove a far distance and never had an issue with the car. The beginning of the week was great...

Now as far as Cons, I would say the cons are that though it isn't the ugliest car, for my personal taste it isn't the most appealing ( it gets you where you need to go so that's what should matter). My friends and neighbors loved it and so did my daughter and mother. I wish the air conditioning had a vent in the back so that the ones suffering in the back from the heat wouldn't have to wait for the air to circulate. Though I didn't take my family places I made them all sit in the car and it seated all 5 of us comfortably. Now why do I say the beginning of the week was great? Well living in my area they just put up a new sign in the middle of trees for alternate side parking changes. The day I was supposed to move it, I hadn't in time and of course I got a ticket. I was very disappointed in myself because I placed an alarm in my phone so as to move it on the one day I was supposed to. Just to have them change the day and me and 3 other cars got a ticket. New York loves tickets and I officially am a victim of it. I paid it as soon as I went outside. That day had been a long day and because there were so many graduations and kids getting out of school I left the car there for the remainder 3 days. I refused to move it because I see the reason people don't get cars in New York. Streets are cramped but the car drove through with not a scratch a dent or an issue. I think I will be making a separate blog post on how to survive having a car in NYC.

Over all I loved the vehicle and the price point is definitely not bad. This car is very affordable for what it can and was able to do. Here's the LINK to customize and check your new car out for a size.

Thank you for stepping by and there will be some more footage of me in the car in the weeks to come. In the process of moving and have been trying to make time and have none for Youtube at the moment, so bare with me.

What things would you want to see more of in my next car review?! Let me know!
