The 2017 Hyundai Elantra Limited Review

Hey loves!

I wanted to thank everyone who has been following my car series and wanted to extend an apology. I am moving soon and won't be able to review cars for a long while. The good thing is the location I am moving to has a garage so when I decide to review them again, I have a place to put it, without fear of tickets or waking up early to avoid those pesky things.

So now onto the review!

Driving:

This vehicles driving ability was everything for me. I didn't like the fact I felt every dip and curve of the road. I did love the fact that it was easy to maneuver through traffic and all its craziness during this NYFW and bike tours! ( that's a whole other post ). I drove to my first meet and greet and should have just left the car at home, that's how much traffic and aggravation there was for me.

Navigation: 10/10
Apple Car Play: 0
I LOVE THE NAVIGATION! I found this navigation to be the best out of all the cars I reviewed in my life. It was easy and to the point. Only thing is make sure you pay even more attention to your surroundings because some roads don't have it in the system that here has been changes to road signs. Almost went down a newly paved dead end. This wasn't the navigations fault so I can't take points.
Apple car play was not cooperative and was very annoying to try and fix.

Style:

I love the design of the vehicle. It wasn't too much of an eyespot in my opinion. Doesn't look like a race car but if that's what you were looking for, look else where.

Interior:

My daughter loved the back seat and felt the air when the air condition was on. I think the passenger seat should be powered like the drivers side instead of manual. I thought that was a bit off. It was a leather interior and you can't go wrong with leather.

Overall:

Overall I loved this vehicle and felt it was a great ride. I had originally given the car an 8 out of 10 when I spoke with the representative and would like to give it a 9.5 instead because the way I felt the dips and curves and even the steering wheel were bothersome for me.

What are your thoughts on this vehicle?

2016 Mazda MX-5 Miata Grand Touring

Hey Loves!

So I got a chance to review this gorgeous 2016 Mazda MX-5 Miata! Now to say I was hype is an understatement. This car is a sports car. It's my first time reviewing a sports car and off the bat let me just say... I am 5ft 9ins and this bad boy was LOW to the ground. How ironic I use caps locks to describe how small or low it was. Anyways.... Moving on lol. This is a head turner because like myself and many others we are used to bigger cars. Used to cars whom don't take up such little space. Parking for me was the hardest because of my height I kept thinking there was more to the car than their actually was. Now let's get on to the review.

Driving

This car drove smooth and fast. It was small, quick, and easy to maneuver. I found that when it came to bumps and pot holes, if you can avoid. You feel it extra because you are closer to it.

Gas
I had this car for approximately 9 days. Last 2 days I didn't get to drive around cause of.. well reasons. So I drove all around Queens and Brooklyn and one place in Manhattan. I drove about 200 miles altogether and had to put $20 to fill the tank after the 5th day. I drove more with this car than any other one I had and that's cause of the ease. And how fast and in and out of traffic I was able to be in. All in all I think $20 to fill a tank in Brooklyn with our gas prices isn't as bad as the last car I reviewed. I also wanted to note I used AC and Heat excessively. If you are from or have ever been to New York you know how all over the pace our weather can be.

Navigation/Music

I LOVED the navigation. I found that it was simple and easy. I was able to find out where bridges that I normally wouldn't have the address to were. I found myself throughly enjoying the fact it automatically synced to my phone with the sun and picked up where it left off at. I hate that the system goes to the Sirius XM radio station when you try and change the station on the steering wheel. That was a nuisance.

Seating
As you all know this is a smaller vehicle and it is a two seater. If you are taller than me than this is a spring/summer car for you. The drop down feature made things easier for myself.

Trunk Space
There was a surprising amount of trunk space. I enjoyed the fact there was so much. I thought because it was smaller that it would be really small but it fit my garments, bag and other necessities to some errands I was running.

Interior
My footage of the interior got corrupted but I will describe as best I can. There are two cup holder locations; one behind the drivers right side and one on the left side of the passenger seat. The one behind the drivers arm was a bit uncomfortable for myself. Now also the glove compartment is also behind the arm of the driver and the surround system also. This wasn't a problem for me because I didn't use it. It is a leather interior and very plush leather at that. The gear stick was also well made and gave you a racers feel. There were easy command buttons near the gear stick. Navigation shortcuts, music shortcuts etc.

All in all I loved this little car! I even contemplated getting it for myself as a play thing later down the line. Who knows! What are some vehicles you'd like to see next?

Mitsubishi Outlander GT 2016

Hey loves!!

So I got to test out and drive the 2016 Mitsubishi Outlander GT Sport! Now I am not going to lie, I had some reservations about this car. I drove it and had the ultimate love hate relationship with it. So leggo!

Driving

Driving in both traffic and horrible roads (thanks nyc) I found this to be a smooth ride. My daughter didn't feel the potholes as hard.

Gas

I hated the gas on this V6 engine. I found that it took way more gas than I liked. The issue I also had was trying to get into the got damn tank and finding the button to do so. It was placed in the weirdest place. The gas indicator is very lagged. It doesn't tell you right away you are getting lower it stays at its specific marks and when you stopped you would find out how much you really need. I had to put gas back in the tank by Friday and I hadn't driven it long. I put fifteen dollars into the tank and below is before and after.

Navigation/ Music

The navigation worked but I wish instead of telling me how many frets that she would just say the name. It connected immediately to any device plugged in which was great. I didn't have to search for a thing.

Seating

In this car I would have to say the seating was great. It was spacious and able to seat my family and two additional people in the back if need be. The leather interior  was plush and comfortable and soft. The amount of space between myself and the steering wheel was major for me. I am 5 foot 9 inches and tend to hit my knees on the dash board which is very annoying. All in all I liked the seating and the placements of the cup holders. The heated seats also came in the clutch for those cold bipolar spring nights.

Trunk
Hardest thing to open. The most annoying thing about this vehicle. It was very hard to open. I tried and did everything. I pressed every button known to the car for the trunk and to no avail until I didn't need it anymore.

All in all I would say if you like trucks than get this. If you need to focus on how much you would be spending on gas I don't think it would be right for you.

Thank you for reading!! What are some cars you are curious to know about? 💋

2016 Mazda3 Week Review

Hey my lovely people!

As you all know, I'm in the market for a car to take me around and drive me to these makeup and hair events I seem to always frequent. Well thanks to Mazda, I got to test out the Mazda3! I never drove a Mazda before, let alone the second version! But if this third installment is anything better than the predisesors then I am grateful! As you guys know my external hard drive with all of my stuff are gone so bare with me with these stock footages!

Drive for Good

This year I asked God to help me just give back even more than I have in my life. First it was giveaways and then I reviewed the 2016 Mazda3 and this made me so happy. Mazda has a program where they committed to making a change by donating to its customers and communities. Now I'm not being paid to post this but this made me so happy. So basically how it works is; I got to get a card in which I could send money to any Charity of my choice and of course I chose 🇭🇹 Hope for Haiti 🇭🇹✊🏾. It was simple all I had to do was go on the website and submit the info. That's dope. I still got some giveaways for you guys. 💋

Driving

Now when I say this bad boy was comfortable.. I mean comfortable! I found myself driving with ease and very air like. I have driven this car through Manhattan, Queens, and Brooklyn and all I can say is I loved it! I found that the turns were smoother and when I hit a pot hole, you knew I would hit one or twelve while driving, I barely felt it. I am tall and found the car to be a bit small for me but not something that was unbearable. I more so cared about my big curly hair and not the actual size. My family fit in this car very comfortably and everyone gave me nothing but compliments. The gas on this car!!!!! Man oh man! I didn't even get to half a tank and I drove everywhere and charged my phone and used the navigation and everything! I also used the heat and the air conditioning ( if you know NYC you know the weather changes every second of everyday )We will get to the navigation in a few. All in all it was a very smooth ride and I didn't want to part from the car.

Cons

The only con for me was trying to understand the navigation and syncing my device to the radio. That was the most frustrating part of it all. I ended up just using my iPhone for navigation and it wouldn't play through the speakers till closer to the end of my drive with the car. I was annoyed with that and it would sync then unsync. All in all that was one of my pet peeves. The navigation wouldn't speak to me! I couldn't get it to talk for the life of me and that was frustrating as all heck.

Conclusion

As long as I have been reviewing cars... I think this is the first time I didnt want to part. I actually liked this car. It had great gas mileage and I was able to pretty much drive everywhere with ease. Everyone who was with me or saw or was in it liked it too. This is unbiased as usual. I only wish it was a hint bigger. I'm tall and my buns don't fit under the roof. All in all I liked it. Kalea loved it too. Will have an in depth review on my blog. Thank you Mazda and Driveshop #drivemazda 💋

Ponytail & Bang Bang

❤ H E Y  L O V E  B U G S ! !
If you follow my social media accounts then you are aware. Aware that I like to switch my hair up and that I am *gasp* lazy!! So I have been rocking this very simple and sleek look lately. I get asked this question a lot... How do you get all of your hair in that ponytail piece?!? Well I only wear this combo indoors or if I am going to take pics. I can't keep a hairstyle in for too long. If you have coarser hair than myself, you can still do this.

What You Will Need

Brush
Ponytail holder/Scrunchie (no metals)
Gel for a sleeker and more polished look (if you would like to see one let me know)
Bang piece

What You Will Have To Do

If you need to comb your hair out, do so! Put your hair into a tight bun on the top of your head. Putting it on the top of your head makes it easier when you add the pieces to make the look. After the bun is placed, take your instant pony and secure it around the base. Take the drawstring and wrap it around the base as well. It helps when you want to secure it. Then you just take your bang piece and stick it on your head! Simple, Quick, easy and to the point.

I like to be able to take my hair out after a flick, I can't keep fake hair in for too long, next couple of weeks will be hard for me!

I know I will get a question about this, my hair was in a braid out prior to the ponytail. I wanted to quickly record it because I will be protective styling my hair next week. Hint hint.. Some more hair videos are on the horizon! Liked my makeup in this video? It's my no foundation routine with Montenegro by Amrezy on the lips.
