Mitsubishi Mirage 2015 in Plasma Purple

Hey Love Bugs,

First let me say thank you to Mitsubishi and Drive STI for the opportunity! This was an amazing experience and honestly I enjoyed their level of professionalism. In this review I won't only give you stats but I will talk about how it went on these New York streets. If you want a full blown review as far as the car enthusiast side, I won't be able to provide that. If you are a mom who is on the go and are looking for something then continue reading.

This vehicle was very small and honestly when I saw it I was taken aback. I didn't think it would seat me, let alone my family. I am 5 feet 8 inches and a full figured woman and this didn't cause a single problem for me. I sat comfortably behind the wheel and was able to maneuver very well through streets. It is very smooth of a ride and I enjoyed it thoroughly. My daughter who is 8 loved it as well. She sat in the back and was just smiling and enjoying herself greatly. She told me she felt safe in the car, not only cause of her moms impeccable driving skills ( lol ). So far there's nothing but pro's? Well honestly its cause I liked the car. ( I will get into the cons a little further down) It was easy to drive and even in these crazy unpredictable streets of Brooklyn ( if you have ever been to Brooklyn you would know why I keep bringing emphasis to this). I found it easy to avoid collisions from other bigger cars and even buses who didn't stay in their lanes. I didn't feel intimidated nor afraid of the power on this car. I also drove a far distance and never had an issue with the car. The beginning of the week was great...

Now as far as Cons, I would say the cons are that though it isn't the ugliest car, for my personal taste it isn't the most appealing ( it gets you where you need to go so that's what should matter). My friends and neighbors loved it and so did my daughter and mother. I wish the air conditioning had a vent in the back so that the ones suffering in the back from the heat wouldn't have to wait for the air to circulate. Though I didn't take my family places I made them all sit in the car and it seated all 5 of us comfortably. Now why do I say the beginning of the week was great? Well living in my area they just put up a new sign in the middle of trees for alternate side parking changes. The day I was supposed to move it, I hadn't in time and of course I got a ticket. I was very disappointed in myself because I placed an alarm in my phone so as to move it on the one day I was supposed to. Just to have them change the day and me and 3 other cars got a ticket. New York loves tickets and I officially am a victim of it. I paid it as soon as I went outside. That day had been a long day and because there were so many graduations and kids getting out of school I left the car there for the remainder 3 days. I refused to move it because I see the reason people don't get cars in New York. Streets are cramped but the car drove through with not a scratch a dent or an issue. I think I will be making a separate blog post on how to survive having a car in NYC.

Over all I loved the vehicle and the price point is definitely not bad. This car is very affordable for what it can and was able to do. Here's the LINK to customize and check your new car out for a size.

Thank you for stepping by and there will be some more footage of me in the car in the weeks to come. In the process of moving and have been trying to make time and have none for Youtube at the moment, so bare with me.

What things would you want to see more of in my next car review?! Let me know!

Tea w T || Being a Good Person

H E Y  L O V E  B U G S ! !
In this video I am basically going over my thoughts on being a good person. I have been a bit down because of all the social injustices everyone is dealing with. I talk about some experiences of me doing great acts and how it impacted others. I guess I gotta spread love, that's the Brooklyn way!!

I have been feeling a bit defeated with all thats been going on. I don't understand, yet I do, why people can't just let people be who they are. Whether you are black, white, gay, straight, funny, boring, tall or short. I personally feel that people need to either let people be. I don't mean that if you are hurting people as a whole like what's been going on with the #askrachel tags, because that's a whole other post. There's a difference in letting people be and letting them be a damn fool. I will get into that in another post because this one would be entirely too long. Trust Me.

I think that, as people, there is this tendency to think all people think the same. Which if you ever took up psychology you would know is part of the preoperational stage where you are self oriented. You only think of yourself and from your own perspective. You know what age group that is for? From ages 2-6 or 7 you only see things or think of things in your own way and as you age you are supposed to gain understanding of perspectives. Unfortunately not all humans reach the formal operational stage.

I am not the biggest saint, nor the biggest sinner. I am just a concerned person who wants to salvage all hope that I have for society as a whole. I want to regain the love I have for mankind in the hopes to restore my love for it. I have always believed in being the change I want to see in the world. One of the major things I chose to do as a person was to not allow things to change me, but I would be lying if I said sometimes I wasn't deterred as a human being.

Let me know some good deeds you have either done or have had done for you.

Thoughts on Rachael Dolezal

Ok so I waited to get all the facts before jumping on bandwagons. Since I've been tagged in a few discussions and refused to until it unfolded. Rachel has not only lied about her identity as a black woman but has made money off of the backs of fake situations that she has been in to "connect" with the blacks she loves oh so much. She paid a man to be her "father" at an event to maintain her facade. I have yet to read all of these ground breaking things she has done for African Americans but I did read how much money she has made from "being one". Those kids she claims to have adopted are her brothers and sisters and were told not to come out and mess up what she had going on. For those who are throwing around transracial, comparing a transgendered person to someone appropriating a culture you need help. She could have done the same amount of stuff as a white woman supporting a black culture. She has taken money from scholarships while perpetrating being black. The NAACP was founded by white people she could have been president being white. She has walked around in Black Face (read up on what black face is I'm not your history teacher). If she was so connected to the black culture she would have known the emotional ties to blackface and how it is perceived by that race. If you have no problem with her appearance and how she carries herself than cool but don't tell others how they should feel about something that obviously bothers many of them. And shut up about how women walk around with blonde hair. THERE ARE BLONDE HAIRED BLACK PEOPLE lmao. There are blue eyed black people. Not only that but systematic assimilation which basically boils down to black people trying to fit into systematic oppression pays a key role in the way some African Americans view themselves after years of self hate.

This woman obtained a position in a woman's organization by committing fraud with those changes!  This women lied about her race culture and heritage to obtain the top positions for the NAACP she infiltrated with lies and deception.

There are many people who only focus on the fact she put on too much bronzer and rocked some styles. Those same people were just talking about cultural appropriation when Amandla Stenberg broke down what it was. One second they hate it but only when the person works for NAACP. Miss me with the bullshit. This will be updated as the thoughts come back to me. I find myself at a lost for words at the self loathing and hatred I have seen amongst African Americans. So in the meantime I will be laughing at the #askrachel memes.

Standing In Your Truth

Hey Love Bugs!!!

So I was scrolling through Facebook today. The usual was up and down my feed, social injustices, people inspiring others, food posts, and pretty much the things I am into. I am particular on what I allow myself to be exposed to on a daily basis. I deleted over 1000+ "friends" on Facebook. Weeded out the amount of people on my private Instagram and even unfollowed people on my public one. I have never been the hood girl, always been the girl who grew up in different areas and never fit in. I was always popular, but always misunderstood on many levels. I had to learn how to stand in my truth at a young age. So I went to school with hood people they made fun of me cause I "talked white", when I went to "proper" schools I was the "token black girl with sass".

Back to the post Vastia...

I say all that to say that as my life took this major turn in the past year, I have been blessed. Blessed in the sense I can finally live my life without fear of my past. So what brought this on? K. Michelle's interview with Forbes.  Her reflection on life and herself was something I could relate to on such a deeper level.

"I’m going to get into the music that I feel, that I love, and I’m not going to let anybody box me because of the color of my skin or my past. I’m going to do the re-packaging, and I’m going to do one more album. If I’m not allowed to sing the music that I want to sing, then I’m prepared to walk away."

Click Here  for more of the K. Michelle On "Poli-tricks" And The Business Of Reality sit down.

What do you think about what she said? Are you glad she is loving who she is and who she was?
Have you gotten to that point in life or are you sill working on it?

Fashion Friday Feature || Easy Get Ready Mom Edition

Hey Love Bugs!!!

I hope you guys have enjoyed yourself and your days. i wanted to touch on something I said in my latest haul video. ( Click Here ). You all know I have an eight year old daughter. now I am a single mother who does all of these things on my own. So piano lessons, I take her. Gardening class, I take her. School activities, or school period, thats all me! Lol. I say all that to say i get very busy at times and this is the best way I know how to look put together in a short period of time.

I am queen of dresses and skirts. Once upon a time you would have never seen me caught dead in one of those things and now... it's all I wear. I wear dresses for different things but mainly if I know I have to go to an event later. If I have to go to an event and I know I am going to be photographed and I have like 2 seconds to get ready you bet your bottom dollar I am throwing on a dress. Dresses make life easy, whether it's a long maxi one or a short sundress that shows bits and pieces of you. I find that making sure you have an all purpose dress that you can dress up or down is beneficial.

When I am running to my daughters school and want to appear professional I will wear a t-shirt and throw on a skirt. When I wear the skirt I find that it is easy as heck to look presentable that way. The shirt would either be paired with a blazer or a jacket of some sorts. I personally can't wear necklaces unless they are 14k gold. I don't own anymore jewelry ( thanks to my sister and friends ) so I would if I could. Of course to pick her up I would wear flats and then to go out I would pair it with some heels or wedges depending on where I am going. I will have a cookbook coming up to show you how I get ready in a short amount of time and still run around and take care of Kalea and do all that i do!

What are some things you guys do to get ready in a short amount of time. I think I will make a video on my quick mom proof makeup... Hmmmm We will see.
